Time gets away

I notice I've been pretty lazy about posting to my blog. Or maybe it's just work and being a mom is busy. I'm now a horsey for my kids to ride on. Our house looks like Build-a-Bear blew up. The most amazing thing, my tote bag for work is like a Mary Poppins bag for baby socks. I swore I took them all out, but yet another keeps appearing. How come I can't find matches for them all? That is why white socks go both ways. Thank you hanes!

Irene is babbling. She likes to point and give orders, and we just agree. It seems to appease her.

Jack likes to push Irene out of the way, down, or last night climb on top of her to get to mommy.

Both babies find mommy to be a bounce house. The only thing, I don't appreciate it when Jack sits on my face and tries to bounce. Something I never thought I would say is, "Jack we don't put the beans and franks on mommy's face." Luckily folks, he was wearing a diaper. Just so no one is thinking I'm a total freak or something.

Jack can climb, climb, climb. He is all boy.

Irene got a bunch of stuffed animals for Christmas (thus the Build-a-Bear reference), and loves them all. She will try to carry 3 or more at a time, and every time they drop she will stop to retrieve them. Cute.

Irene is more into animals too. She loves Angus and every other puppy in the world. She'll giggle, want to pet them, etc. Jack, he can take it or leave it.

Jack has a future in destroying things, like buildings, being a firecracker dude, something explosive. He loves to just dump over boxes and through the contents around. Let's take the Lego's as an example. Irene will build stuff with the Lego's, Jack will take it all apart. What a team. Irene will have to keep her bro in line.

As for me, eating boxes of scrabble (homemade chex mix) and thinking, "Oh my goodness, no wonder my drawers are tight." I plan to make the resolution most do and say hello to the hellacious elliptical trainer in 2010.

Happy New Year's everyone.

Get Updates at Facebook

If you haven't joined Facebook, now is the time. It's free, and I've added all the twins Christmas photos there. Add me as a friend and I'm more than happy to share status updates (like, how is Irene doing since the fall down the stairs on the 24th).

Slacker and other things

Okay, so I'm proud I cooked 1 meal of the 5 I listed on my menu this week. Thank you pizza hut for supplementing. Oh crap, we really did eat pizza twice this week. No wonder my ass is growing.
The rest, well....Irene sure had fun helping dad with the tree. We did not add ornaments for obvious reasons. Irene pulled the tree on her once. Thank God it's a Wal-Mart cheapo.
Jack, he's just Jack. He's starting to take steps, but at his own leisure.
