Making Lists & Hoping to Stick to Them

Who the heck am I kidding. My only list is this: stop playing on the dang internet all the time and go to the gym a couple days a week. stick to a budget. Sounds simple, is simple if I let it me. My kids are napping, yyyyeeeeaaahh, and when they wake up we are going to load up on hamburger and tuna helper with canned veggies for the week. I'll never stick to a diet, or be a gourmet cook. So, might as well drink a Mike's Hard Lemonade, walk more, and play with my kids and husband as much as possible. Oh, Pat requests brownies, so I'll make those too.
Have a great week everyone. I plan not to get back on here til the end of the week.

Obessions, Obessions, and More Obessions

I am seriously sad. I've noticed I've got the "mommy do" going for me and in 10 months since my kids have been born I've not once let it grow out, even when professing many times I would. I've added way too much product to my cabinets, let's face it ladies the shorter the hair you still got to fix it and it takes product. Do I need as much product as I have, very doubtul, but if I get those $10 off coupons from JcPenney I load up because often times it's buy 1 get 1 free on beauty products and I usually give the coupon and only pay tax. Sweet!

The other new obsession I seem to have the last 2 years is handbags. Good lord, I'm selling some handbags on Ebay because I need some cash to recoup because yes, I found another handbag I like. Whatever I get next I'm keeping until the darn thing falls apart. You have to stop buying sometimes, and with twin babies I can't have champagne tastes when I'm on a box of wine from Aldi's budget.

Hmmm...the internet seems to be another new addiction. After I sell my purses my obsession will be to clear up our credit cards from our lovely dental work (Pat & I will probably be out all our tax return on our root canals and crowns this year. Cha-ching!)

Then my obession will be on saving cash and getting debt free. You'll always be rich if you spend less than what you make. That is going to be my new obsession. At least it's a good one. Time for bed. Good night folks.

Oh Come On Now

It's 9:3o p.m. Irene, go to sleep. She seems to think that it's not her bedtime, but I figure she'll eventually cry it out.

Jack bit me, the little bugger. I had to give him sloppy kisses until he laughed after that. Pat is still giggling from my cry of pain. Welcome to motherhood. Ah I think Irene is realizing we are refusing to fall into her whims and get her back out of bed.
Finally, she's asleep, or quietly laying in her crib mouthing off at us. Nice. Now, on to this weeks pictures you see above.
We have Angus showing off, me and Jack posing together (yes, I may always have a mommy do from here on out), and the kids are eating pretzels. Grandpa Conner got them hooked. Irene just sucks off the goods and spits them out more or less, and Jack eats like a chipmunk. He may be my Alvin.
As for me, once again I'm talking to priests and trying to get myself to get back and stay with the Catholic church. Today I listened to Scott Haan's conversion. I was prompted by doing some bible study and remembering Oscar Lukefhar's writings. I know, will I ever make up my mind? Doubt it.
Tonight I also listed some purses on Ebay. I saw a purse I like, but I have to clean the closet & earn some cash first. I hope to sell them all and have some coin to get the new purse & put the rest towards the credit card (if my kids don't hog it for diapers first). Hee hee.

The Alternative

Awe man, Blogger won't let me upload a video from "Windows Media Maker." That sucks. Here's some pics of the kiddos I used in it instead.

The bear is a puppet my sister's church use to use. Now my kids reap the rewards of their hand-me-downs. I love hand-me-downs.
Irene is a party animal with her bloomers on her head.
Jack is getting ice cream and loves it.
General baby updates: These kids can crawl. Irene wants to just get up and walk, but can't yet. Jack is pulling himself up on everything and hasn't figured out how to get back down on his butt. We miss our free babysitter. You never know how much you miss someone until you write a check for $250 bucks every week for someone else to watch them. Love ya Dad!

Happy Father's Day

1. To my dad, who you never really appreciate until your an adult and parent yourself. My dad was there to help me learn how to ride a bike, my dumb ass early 20's (thank gosh those are over), and to watch my babies when they were born. I am so appreciative. Glad you came up today.

2. To my husband who I met in my early 20's and like my dad, wouldn't put up with my dingaling behavior. God put you in my life for a reason and 10 years later I am so appreciative to be your wife, and mom of 2 of your beautiful children, and step-mom of one good kid.

3. To John Curry for being a great father-in-law and grandpa. It's amazing how kind and generous you are. I love being a part of your family.
4. Ralph, you are so nuts at times, but you love your grand kids and step-daughter. I appreciate you staying up for hours on end during 6th grade on helping me learn how to do math better, edit my papers, being an ear to hear me bounce all my crazy ideas off of, and backing me up to do activities. I wouldn't be in the job I'm at either had you not giving me these words 8 years ago I use today, "Be cool, calm, and confident." If I get nervous I use them to get me through.

Oh Where Art Thou Batteries

I never did get around to picking any batteries up for the camera, so I'm just gonna post some other photos of the kiddos.
Obviously my kids are older and bigger now, but can you believe the above pictures are my babies just a few months ago? (Insert tears) They grow so fast!
Other news: Jack is getting so good at crawling. His little knees are just red from all his hard work. He is also getting fast. Irene can crawl, but hasn't gotten down to business like Jack. The baby gate is up by the stairs. Man, that's be something to get used to over the next few years.
For my sister: Congrats on losing almost 30 pounds the last 8 weeks. I post this so every woman can be envious how you are really managing your carbs & exercising.
p.s. because of my sister I finally decided to start tracking my Weight Watcher points via online. Man, do I eat a lot or what. I got a lot of clean up to do. I hate when I go over my points, but feel giddy when I walk enough I earn points. I haven't figured out how to swap them online, so I'm guessing it really doesn't want you to.
I'd love to blog more, but the load 1 is done and I want to get my kids up and maybe go to the Arch for the farmers market, which I have never done. Might be fun to just walk around Columbia and add up those points!
